GIRL VS. EBAY

Spoiler* I totally won.

So my formal is coming up (and by coming up I mean it's in 10 weeks... although I am definately lacking when it comes to being organised, formal is the time of year in which I truly "get my shit together" so to speak). I am not keen on spending alotta moolah this year (see previous entires in regards to current employment status).

So! I'm not sure how many of you are aware of Australian designer Anna Campbell, but I am literally obsessed. I was planning on blatantly copying one of her designs, but I don't think I have the time nor the skill, so for shits and gigs I looked her up on ebay and BAM, brand new with tags, very similar dress, not exactly the same but similar style because she has a very different way of dressmaking, and no one had bid on it!

So, Sunday morning, I set my alarm and tried to do the sneaky "pop in at the last second" thing that everyone seems to do to me on ebay. AND THEN SOMEONE WAS EVEN QUICKER THAN ME AND STOLE MY BEAUTIFUL DRESS! So obviously I was devastated and chucked a hissy fit and somehow managed to blame my mum who wasn't even in the room at the time.

Monday morning, we get a message saying the winner changed her mind, and that we could buy the dress RIGHT NOW for $100 which is beautiful because the dress retails for about $400. So we bought it and yeah I was ecstatic to say the least.

THEN Monday afternoon, ANOTHER message saying something along the lines of "So sorry but the original buyer has contacted me and still intends on buying the dress, DON'T send me any money"
So I'm back to being shattered.

Mum sends a message (she's much braver than me) saying that we've already payed and as far as we're concerned, the dress belongs to us.
New message saying "No problem, will post the dress tomorrow :)".

AND IT ARRIVED TODAY ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!GYE5T6W377*%%NGghF6U5KBHSU65HGHDGRYN!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :) :) :) :)

I went out for lunch with a friend, and found it when I returned home. I was like a little girl playing dress ups who refuses to stop playing when her mummy tells her to.
But it makes me feel like a princess.
And now I have 10 weeks to worry about all kinds of other things :)
